What to do after you've finished an anime series?

Ohayo, everyone!

The time has come for my last blog post already and it fills me with so many emotions. We made it to the end and that's great! Unfortunately, I also have the same sad feeling I get when an anime is over when something this fun has to end.

Recently, Demon Slayers Season 3 Finale (Spoiler) aired and I've been in a funk ever since. While it was absolutely amazing! I won't be sharing my thoughts on the season this week. Instead I will be giving some tips of what to do now after the highs of completing a series you've enjoyed.

Tips:

  • Take a break from anime! - I know it seems so simple but after an anime I liked is over I usually let my brain stew on the show for a few days before starting a new one. It's refreshing to let your mind snap back to a place where it isn't taking in too many anime's at once, if you can do that more power to you! I however have to take each show one at a time and let my head buffer once the show I've been watching is over.
  • Choose a new style you've never seen before! - I would have never known how much I enjoyed slice of life anime if I would have gone from Naruto straight into One Piece. Give your mind something new to digest. There are SO MANY different genres of anime you can try so don't be afraid to try something new, you might be surprised.
  • Read some manga! - If you've been binging a show or just got done with a series you've been catching up on for months, I find manga to be a quick way to recharge before starting something new to watch. I for one just don't like reading but manga has been a good way for me to get some reading in and if you trade books with friends maybe you'll enjoy a series so much that you decide to watch the anime if it's available.
  • Share with friends and rewatch! - It may just be me but if I really enjoy something whether it's food, music, drinks, whatever... I want to share it with friends or family just like how I started this blog. I enjoy anime so much and reading through the responses has been so great! I saw someone mention Attack on Titan and got into a heated conversation about that but it was funny because it got my brother to start rewatching it even though he just finished. I always restart my favorites if they were that special so if some kind of stigma was holding any of you back from doing an immediate rewatch, I got your back. Go for it!

Lastly, I know I haven't gotten to react to too many animes but by all means I'll check in with this blog every once and a while to see if anyone is hoping to chat about some new series they've been watching. Thank you all for your feedback and I hope your anime adventures can be accompanied with friends and family. I'll be here to lend an ear!

Bai Bai!
