    Ohayo! My name is June Figueroa and here I will be sharing my thoughts and opinions on anime's I'll be watching. I became interested in anime as a way of bonding with my little brother Kalani, whom I call "Bubba", due to his interests in gaming and basically all things from Japan after growing up there for a few years with his dad in the military. He was always raving about his favorite anime Naruto and I knew of it because my childhood friends would watch it when I was his age or younger. I decided to give it a chance and I've grown to embrace this culture of Japanese art and media more than I would have imagined. 

    Like many novice anime consumers I started to enjoy the action packed scenes Naruto had to offer and thought some of the characters were so cool! I later began to love the story telling ability of anime and all the various character development you witness should you want to torture yourself with filler episodes like I mistakenly did. I don't regret it by any means and I think it helped me better understand the landscape of anime. Not every series will be filled with filler episodes, 1,000 episodes to watch, or have as massive of a fan base. 

    I broadened my watch list after completing Naruto to many other genres of anime like slice of life, horror, and adventure. Even becoming a bit of a "weeb" and watching youtube videos from people like NCHammer 23 to find out more about anime through the lens of someone who read the mangas that precede the anime's. Now having a larger friend group and a closer relationship with my brother and sister in this niche community that only grows by the day, I figured why stop there?

    If you are like me and love to discuss these shows further or are looking to discuss things further, by all means stick around and join in. I'd also like to hear more than one perspective on shows I might be watching from someone who's read the manga. I know I like to formulate ideas of how certain shows will progress and love to collaborate with my friends and family, so if that interests you I'd be ecstatic to branch this network of mine to more people. 

    Some of these reviews will contain spoilers! I'll have them marked as such in the title posts incase you haven't watched a recent episode of a currently aired series, (hint: demon slayer), so please make sure to be mindful before reading ahead. If I review a series you are a fan of and I'm making my way through the already released episodes please be kind and don't spoil the show for myself or anyone else in the comments who might not have seen it. 

    I hope to learn more about your favorite anime's and opinions of them and will be using Crunchyroll so be all means, leave suggestions and follow along with me if you're interested in something I might be watching.
